After a few hiccups in their relationship, everything is back on track between Vicky and Deputy Sheriff Mitchell Slate and things have never been better. Vicky and Sarah have their hands full with planning a bridal shower and ensuring that a very wealthy couple, the Holsteads, have everything they need while they are staying at the Heavenly Highland Inn. Then things turn upside down when Sandy Holstead is found dead in her room. It looks like an accident but everything points to Chef Henry as the one who made a fatal mistake and the inn is being threatened with a law suit. Vicky believes that Chef Henry is being framed and with the help of Sarah and Aunt Ida they try to discover the truth.
Was Sandy’s death an accident? Did Chef Henry kill Sandy deliberately? Or is he being framed? Will Aunt Ida and Vicky expose the truth? Or will they just get themselves into hot water?

These are fun, light weight mysteries. I like the girls and aunt Ida, (sometimes she is a little much). I will continue on with the series. I also enjoy MS Bell's other series.
I always love the Cindy Bell mysteries. Like many others they are light on the
gory and heavy on the fun and fluff...making them a nice escape instead of a
thrill ride!
I enjoyed this book, but it didn't move along as smoothly as some of earlier ones in the series. It still was a very good read and I'll be watching for the next one in the series.
I have read a lot of these books, and loved them, but I was really hoping something would happen love wise in this book. The murderer was a kind of surprise. I can't read enough of them, she's a very good writer.
Love her short get to the point books cute romance with them too. They are exciting to read in the evening as they are shorter than most mystery books. Love them.
Quirky, funny so Cindy Bell! Love Cindy's work and can't wait for more! I wish I could rate all her books at once but since I can't you'll likely see these same words on the other posts.
All The heavenly Highland Inn Series books are enjoyable. This one was just as great as the others. I read it out of sequence because I had not realized when I ordered book 6, I thought I had read all the books in the series. It did not matter. I Enjoyed it anyway.
All I can say is that if you miss this book or any of Cindy Bell's books it's your loss. She is one of my favorite authors and not one book has yet to leave me in a bad mood. Can't wait to read the next book.
